Quick Bean Soup

Serves 4

Ingrédients

  • 1 can (14 oz/398 ml) chick peas or kidney beans
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil, butter or margarine
  • 1 can (10 oz/284 ml) cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
  • 1 can (10 oz/284 ml) milk
  • pinch of nutmeg or curry
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Mode d'emploi

  1. Drain and rinse beans.
  2. In a saucepan, sauté onion in oil, butter or margarine.
  3. Add cream soup and beans to saucepan.
  4. Add milk to saucepan.
  5. Simmer over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add a pinch of nutmeg or curry.
  7. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
