Rice Pudding with Raisins

Serves 4

Ingrédients

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) uncooked rice
  • 4 cups (1 litre) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) salt
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) raisins

Mode d'emploi

  1. Rinse rice.
  2. In a saucepan, mix rice, milk, sugar and spices.
  3. Cook over low heat for 1 to 1½ hours, stirring often until liquid is almost absorbed.
  4. Add raisins.
  5. Cook for another 30 minutes on low heat, until all liquid is absorbed.
  6. Serve hot or cold.
